Well said. We need to be looking forward to the time beyond the election and to working together. To not be so caught up in our fear that we demand others do the same as we do and turn them into the enemy if they don't.

Part of our maturing process needs to see a shift of focus, off of differences in personality and in policy, onto similarities in goal.

"Pick me, Pick me!"

needs to be replaced with "How can I best serve you, enhance your strengths?"

For way too long the major parties have been in control mode; Labour has a campaign slogan claiming "In It For You!"

If only that were true. Blatant false advertising. 'In It For ME' is more accurate by far. It would appear that "situational ethics" is an " absolute" among those that claim "there are no Absolutes" , thus lying is necessary to remain in power. Apparently if you strip all reference to God, and Godly Principles exit stage left, there will be no accountability!
